Valter Paiva is currently the Head Tennis Pro at Billie Jean King Tennis Center. He has over 15 years of experience in player development, including 8 years overseas in Brazil.
After coaching at various Brazilian academies including the prestigious Sociedade Harmonia de Tennis and Club Athletico Indiano in Sao Paulo, Valter Paiva was awarded a full tennis scholarship to Hampton University in Virginia, and played competitively in NCAA division one. He graduated with a BSC in Marketing, specializing in Professional Tennis Management. While at Hampton University, he was the assistant coach for the men’s and women’s tennis teams and was responsible for designing workout programs and training routines to improve the athletic performance of tennis players.
